Join us at Cabaret Arts and Social Theatre on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, for an exciting event with renowned dance teacher Juho So. In this three-hour intensive workshop, you'll explore the captivating world of Kizomba, followed by an open floor/social dance session.

Meet your instructor, Juho So. He embarked on his Kizomba journey in late 2013, driven by curiosity and his background as a trained salsero and bachatero. Juho quickly fell in love with Kizomba, fascinated by its unique style of leading, connection, and musicality, distinct from what he knew in salsa and bachata. Over the years, he delved deeper into Kizomba, including Urban Kiz, during a visit to Europe in the summer of 2015. This experience allowed him to express musicality in a novel way, distinct from the traditional music he was familiar with. While Juho has primarily taught Urban Kiz in recent years, his passion for authentic Kizomba and Semba remains strong, acknowledging that the foundation of Urban Kiz lies in Kizomba and Semba.
